Welcome to my Professional Portfolio

Picture of Jamie McDaniel in front of a blurred background.I currently serve as an Associate Professor of English at Radford University in Radford, VA. I am also Editor of The CEA Forum, the College English Association‘s online, peer-reviewed journal devoted to pedagogy in all facets of English Studies. I am an award-winning teacher and scholar who has taught a range of face-to-face and online classes at both the introductory and advanced levels, including technical/professional writing and digital/video production, digital rhetoric, new media writing, Digital Humanities, digital literacies, document design, grant writing, film studies, and British literature, though I specialize in disability rhetoric across multiple media. Whether considering how visual media promotes ableist depictions of people with disabilities or advocating that writing classes address accessibility as a core topic, my teaching and scholarship emphasize how intellectual traditions impact marginalized people’s experiences.
